The Nation's Weather for Friday, November 17, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A cold front will extend from the Great Lakes to the South
Central states tomorrow, spreading rain from Tennessee to
the interior Northeast. Behind this front, chillier air will
move into the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, and
temperatures can be as much as 15-20 degrees lower than the
day before, although they will still be above the historical
average for November. Showers can linger along the Southeast
Atlantic coast as a storm travels offshore. Meanwhile,
another storm will begin to move onshore in California,
bringing rain to the coast. Showers will move inland during
the afternoon and overnight hours. High pressure over much
of the Rockies will provide dry weather and seasonable
conditions to the region. This high pressure will also
promote plenty of sunshine.
