The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, December 13, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Strong high pressure will ensure a dry day for many areas of
the northern and eastern United States tomorrow. However, a
new storm will begin to develop across portions of the
Southwest, bringing an area of rain and snow to
high-elevation areas of Colorado and New Mexico. From there,
precipitation will transition to rain and there can even be
some embedded thunderstorms across western Texas. At the
same time, an approaching cold front will bring late-day
rain along the Washington coast. There can also be snow,
including some lake effect, pushing across parts of New
York, Vermont and New Hampshire. As dry conditions persist
across much of the Plains, temperatures will rise again
across portions of the northern Plains, while the southern
Plains has temperatures that will begin to fall.
