The Nation's Weather for Friday, January 26, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A wet period will persist tomorrow in the South as the
latest round of moisture brings additional rain and
thunderstorms to the region, mainly near and along the
central Gulf Coast; flooding problems may worsen here
throughout the day. Showers and even some areas with
steadier rain will stretch through the mid-Atlantic and into
New England, with snow in Maine. Rain will fall across Lower
Michigan and into southern Wisconsin as well. Fog, some
dense, is once again expected to start the day from the
Plains into much of the East. In the West, snow will fall
from southern Colorado into northeastern New Mexico, but the
latest storm will deliver yet another push of rain from far
Northern California into western Oregon and coastal
Washington.
