The Nation's Weather for Sunday, March 3, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
During the day tomorrow, the core of the most impactful
conditions from the latest vigorous storm to affect the West
will shift away from some of the hardest-hit areas, with
lower snowfall rates likely in store for places such as
Donner Pass, even though snow continues. Snow also pushes
into Utah and Wyoming once again as the storm advances
eastward, with a period of moderate snow not out of the
question for parts of North Dakota as rain continues closer
to the West Coast and snow showers spread across the
northern Rockies. Rain showers are expected for the Upper
Midwest. Eastern New England and the interior Southeast
should also pick up showers as a disturbance exits the East
Coast, with the risk for thunder largely confined to the
eastern Gulf Coast and Florida.
