The Nation's Weather for Sunday, March 17, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A slow-moving disturbance will continue to produce areas of
rain and thunderstorms around the Gulf coast states
tomorrow, with hail, flooding downpours and strong winds
possible from southeastern Texas across the Florida
Panhandle and through southern Georgia. On the colder side
of the storm, showers of rain and snow are expected to
extend to the north and west through much of New Mexico,
where a separate lingering disturbance also will enhance
rain and snow across the Four Corners region. Outside of a
stray afternoon shower in the high terrain north and east of
San Diego, the West Coast and the rest of the West should
remain dry, as will much of the Plains. Elsewhere, a blast
of colder air is expected to cause snow showers and squalls
for the Great Lakes and the interior Northeast.
