NATIONAL SUMMARY
Showers will linger across portions of New England tomorrow,
extending the risk for flooding. An area of high pressure,
holding over the Great Lakes, will provide a dome of dry
conditions from the Great Lakes to the Ohio Valley and the
rest of the Northeast. Low humidity will accompany the
sunshine in these areas. Farther south, a few thunderstorms
will rumble across portions of the southeastern Atlantic
Coast and Florida, as well as parts of eastern Texas and
Louisiana. Thunderstorms will be most prevalent in the
afternoon. While most of the central United States will be
dry, thunderstorms are forecast from South Dakota to
Nebraska. Meanwhile, in the Rockies, thunderstorms are
expected in the afternoon. Aside from western Washington,
the rest of the West Coast will be dry.
