NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, there can be heavy rain from Sara that may lead to
localized flash flooding along the central Gulf coast from
New Orleans to the Florida Panhandle. Showers will spread
across much of the Appalachians into the eastern half of the
Great Lakes region. To the west, steadier periods of rain
are expected back into Minnesota and Wisconsin. In the High
Plains, it is expected to be gusty with widespread wind
gusts of 40 mph or greater. In central North Dakota snow can
begin accumulating. In eastern North Dakota into western
Minnesota snow can mix with rain, transitioning to snow
overnight. A storm in the Northwest will bring steady rain
to much of western Washington and Oregon. Accumulating snow
is anticipated in the Cascades, including some of the
mountain passes.
