NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a front moves through the Ohio Valley and Northeast
tomorrow, thunderstorms will develop during the afternoon
and evening hours. At least a few storms could be severe
with hail and damaging winds possible in the strongest
storms. Aside from a stray shower or storm along the Gulf
coast, the Southeast will be dry, but very hot and humid
conditions will be in place. Except for the higher
elevations in the Carolinas and Tennessee, highs across the
region should reach the upper 90s to low 100s. In the
Southwest, the North American monsoon will allow some
showers and embedded thunderstorms to occur across New
Mexico, Arizona and interior portions of Southern
California. Low clouds and perhaps a stray shower will be in
place in the Pacific Northwest.
