The Nation's Weather for Friday, September 16, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Severe thunderstorms will be possible tomorrow within a
swath from southwestern South Dakota to central Nebraska.
Localized downpours and even some damaging wind gusts are
expected in this zone. A stalled front will lead to yet
another day of thunderstorms bringing flooding downpours to
parts of Florida and much of South Texas. A separate frontal
system will bring the chance for thunderstorms to the Upper
Midwest, with heavy rainfall not out of the question from
Minnesota to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Thundershowers will
expand in coverage throughout the day across mainly northern
sections of the Intermountain West. However, the Southwest
and much of the Northeast should be dry as high pressure
leads to quiet conditions overall.
