A new exhibit has been installed at The Marion County Museum & Archives. Two hundred recently restored images from the B.B. Bradley Collection are being shown. This collection opens the lens to a four-decade long history of Marion County as well as reproductions of old photos from the early 1900s. The exhibit will remain on display through November.
Mr. B.B. Bradley was the Photo Editor and later the Editor for The Columbian-Progress. He captured traumatic weather events, graduations, school sports, automobile wrecks, children’s activities at the schools, parades and many other interesting happenings in our community. In doing so, we see residents of Marion County shown in the photos — your parents, grandparents, other family and friends at an earlier time.
The museum, located at 200 Second St. across from City Hall, is free to the public and open Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
