Justice Court Judge Brandon Rowell denied bond for John Henry Wells, who is accused of murdering his parents, James and Rebecca Wells of Morgantown.
The bond hearing was held in John Wells’ hospital room, where he is currently still being treated for injuries he sustained in the incident.
It is alleged that, on Dec. 14, John Wells shot and killed his parents around 4:30 p.m. at the 1000 block of Mississippi 587.
It is also alleged that John Wells fired at the deputies, who arrived on scene in response to a disturbance call. Deputies returned fire, striking John Wells. As the deputies moved in closer to apprehend him, he reportedly turned the gun on himself.
John Wells was arrested in his hospital room on Tuesday on two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault on police or emergency personnel.
