Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Audie Keith Magee, 67, of Lumberton, who passed away on Wednesday, April 24. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Joe Lott officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until the time of the services on Sunday, April 28, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He lived a beautiful life that was surrounded by his family, whom he loved dearly. As an avid outdoorsman, he could always be found fishing and hunting. He was the true definition of a “Man’s Man,” but more than that, he was a real gentle giant. He was always devoted to his work and business. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Magee; and one son, Daniel Magee.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jensie Magee; mother, Joyce Magee; two children, David Magee (Rhonda) and Nancy Blackmon (Ryan); one step-son, Chad McDaniel (Allison); one brother, Robin Magee (Zelma); two sisters, Jennifer Magee and Betsy Magee; a host of grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were David Magee, Jamie Singley, Jacob Singley, Lynn Stockbridge, Robin Magee and Chuck Tolar. Honorary pallbearers will be Berkley Hall, Dallas Bryan and Gavin Magee.
