Graveside services were be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Woodlawn Cemetery for Betty T. Williamson, 97, of Brandon, who died on Wednesday, March 15, in Byram.
She was born on April 25, 1925, in Marion County to Henry and Sarah Thompson. She grew up at the Thompson family home in the Bunker Hill Community with her parents and four sisters.
After graduating from Bunker Hill High School, she attended Pearl River Junior College, married and became a homemaker and mother. She was a long-standing member of Alta Woods Baptist Church in Jackson, where she also taught kindergarten for many years before retiring in 1987. She also served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member and was active in the WMU.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, T.W. Williamson; son, Tom Williamson; and sisters, Sue Stephenson, Ann Rawls and Rachel Rowley.
Survivors include her son, Michael Scott Williamson; daughter, Susan Williamson Rayborn; grandchildren, Scott Thomas Williamson (Julie), Michael Andrew Williamson (Maria), Lyndy Rayborn Pyles (Chase) and Michelle Jean Williamson; great-grandchildren, Ainsley Adele Keen, Sara Larkin Williamson, Anderson Kale Pyles and Arlo Keith Pyles; sister, Frances Williamson; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. She was a remarkable woman, who loved without limits.

Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson was directing services.
