Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Carolyn Frances Carter, 83, of Oak Vale, who died on Tuesday, May 31, at her residence. Burial followed in Society Hill Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Stogner officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the services on Thursday, June 2, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, D.L. Langston Sr.; second husband, Lester Eddie Carter; father, Frank Beard, and mother, Lucille Beard.
Survivors include her daughters, Janette Nolan (Bill) of Columbia and Diane Schepemaker (Rob) of Oak Vale; grandsons, Dan Schepemaker (Paris) and Michael Schepemaker (Amy); granddaughter, Leah Nolan; great-grandchildren, Ava Schepemaker, Petra Schepemaker, Finn Schepemaker, Jonah Schepemaker and Olive Schepemaker.
Pallbearers were Rob Schepemaker, Bill Nolan, Dan Schepemaker and Michael Schepemaker.
