Although we are filled with sorrow, we will rejoice in the knowledge that our loved one, Eric Neil Fortenberry, 38, of Greeley, Colo., has departed his earthly home to live eternally in the heavenly realm of peace and love. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
His fantastic personality and his ability to establish a rapport with his many wonderful friends scattered throughout many states will forever live in our hearts. Eric was a bright shining star who will continue to shine throughout eternity.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; James Kenneth Watts and Helyn Morris Watts; and his paternal grandparents; Victor Fortenberry and Yvonne Allgood Fortenberry.
Survivors include his mother, Jan Lynn Watts of Columbia; father, Timothy Neil Fortenberry of Petal; stepmother, Susan Callahan Fortenberry of Petal; half-brother, James Allen Austin of Columbia; brother, Christopher Joel Fortenberry of Denver, Colo.; half-brother, Joshua Daniel Fortenberry of Hazlehurst; and his son, Kais Neil Fortenberry of Columbia, who was the absolute love of his life.
