She, one of 13 children, was married to her husband, Lester, for 70 years. She loved her occupation as a mother and wife but also worked side-by-side with her husband in his business and joined him in his love of and support for the University of Southern Mississippi.
She loved God, her church and helping people. She modeled to her children, grandchildren and others the importance of being a Christian spouse and parent. One of the most important goals in her life was making God known and first in the lives of her loved ones: God first and then family. She loved being a friend to all and talking with strangers, putting them at ease. A wonderful, much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who brought so much love, comfort and support to so many and is already missed so terribly much!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Haddox Sr.; father, Henry Levi Lee Sr.; mother, Eliza Jane Patterson Lee; and one son-in-law, David Ellingburg.
Survivors include her two sons, Lester Haddox Jr. (Nancy) and Keven Haddox (Anne); three daughters, Lynn Culliver (James); Marla Ellingburg and Laura Manning (Bernie); seven grandchildren, Amber Louviere (John), Dustin Ellingburg (Anna), Amy Gunnels (Lane), Josh Ellingburg (Kortnee), Amanda Harp (Greg), Haley Havens (Richard) and Riane Crosby (Taylor); 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
