Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Billie J. Flynt, 86, of Columbia, who died on Tuesday, May 29, at her residence after a lengthy illness. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bro. Millard Moak officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Thursday, May 31 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.G. “Bull” Flynt; parents, Ike and Reba Polk, and one sister, Jewel Sullivan.
Survivors include her loving sister, Bobbye McLendon of Mt. Olive; three sons, Gary Flynt (Debbie), Ronnie Flynt and John Flynt, all of Columbia; two daughters, Kay Lewis of Angie, La., and Kim Overstreet of Biloxi; 10 grandchildren, David Flynt, Caitlin Flynt, Morgan Hilburn (Devon), Cody Flynt, Nina Smith (Rick), Brittany Penton (Dan), Christal Upton (Kenan), Stephen Lewis (Liv), Shane Overstreet and Ashley Overstreet, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Flynt, Shane Overstreet, Stephen Lewis, Cody Flynt, Huey Buckhalter and Trevor Buckhalter.
