Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Carol Sue McNabb, 62, of Foxworth, who died on Monday, April 15 at her residence. Interment followed in Morgantown Cemetery. Bro. Raymond Aven, Bro. Randall Buchanan and Pastor Jerron Carney officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
She had a calling on her life for helping others in their time of need. She loved being a blessing to others. She always had a smile on her face that would light up a room. She loved to shop until she dropped. She was blessed with many talents, from painting, to making flower arrangements and keeping her flower beds beautiful. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she especially enjoyed watching Gabe, Jonathon and Landon on the ballfield and McKenna in the horse arena.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Emler and Billie Bracey; son, T.J. McNabb; two brothers, Billy Joe Emler and Bobby Emler, and one sister, Kay Morgan.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Tommy McNabb of Morgantown; one daughter, Jennifer Miller (Jon) of Darbun; one brother, Butch Emler (Donna) of Columbia; four grandchildren, Gabe Miller, McKenna Miller and Jonathon Miller, all of Darbun, and Landon McNabb of Columbia, and mother-in-law, Mary McNabb of Columbia.
Pallbearers were Gabe Miller, Landon McNabb, Jonathon Miller, Damon Morgan, Blake Lowery, Josh Ham, Jeremiah Holmes, David Bittinger and Jon Miller. Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Tinajero, Nathan Guy, Joshua Sanders, Sam Bittinger, Dakota Breeland, Alex Louge and Daniel Herrera.
