Clifton F. “Tippie” Moree

Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel for Clifton F. “Tippie” Moree, 78, of Columbia, who died on Sunday, Oct. 14 in Jackson. Burial followed in Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Sumrall. Rev. David Moree officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Colonial Funeral Home.
He was a long-time owner of Carquest Auto Parts store and an active member of North Columbia Baptist Church in Columbia. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Alice Moree.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Moree; daughter, Janet Lynn Hutson (Charles) of Madison; two step-daughters, Margaret Curtis (Steve) and Michelle Franklin (Mike); three sisters, Dorothy Dowdy (Lawrence) and Mary Lou Hammond (Tom), both of Columbia, and Rachel Johnson (Jerry) of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Edward Moree (Eunice) of Petal and Robert Moree (Nelda) of Shreveport, La., and two grandsons, Will Hutson and Conner Hutson.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in his honor to the North Columbia Baptist Church Building Fund at 1527 North Main St., Columbia, MS 39429.
