Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Dana Shey Cox, 49, of Oakvale, who died on Wednesday, Jan. 16 in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Oak Grove Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Bro. Willie Martin officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Williamson; grandfather, Opal Ivan Cox; grandfather, Sidney Fitzhugh, and grandmother, Gladys Strong.
He is survived by his father, Ivan Cox of Foxworth; brother, Elijah Ivan Cox of Oak Vale; grandmother, Edna Earl Cox of Foxworth; aunt, Edith Turnage of Oak Vale, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Elijah Cox, Daniel Morgan, Gary Fitzhugh, Isaac Cox, Drew Cox and Tanner Williamson.
