Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Fredna Sue Hinsdell, 70, of Columbia, who died on Friday, April 6, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Dewitt Bain officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
As a long-time resident of Marion County, she worked several years in the Marion County Tax Assessor’s Office.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Faye Bennett, and one brother, Ray Bennett.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Marzee Hinsdell of Columbia; one brother, Harry "Tink" Bennett (Carolyn) of Columbia; two nephews, Nathan Bennett (Melissa) of Columbia and Bill Bennett of Jackson and one niece, Jennifer Bennett Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.
