A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Colonial Funeral Home for Jerry Wayne Powell Jr., 50, of Foxworth, who died on Saturday, May 5. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time on the services on Wednesday, May 9, at Colonial Funeral Home.
He was a lifelong resident of Marion County. He enjoyed traveling, flea markets and collecting antiques, but his greatest enjoyment came from his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to talk to anyone as he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Powell Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Powell; daughter, Shana Forbes (Hunter); son, Chaz Powell (Lindsey); mother, Brenda Powell; brother, Christopher Powell (Suzanne); five grandchildren, Hagen Forbes, Cooper Powell, Gunner Forbes, Chloe Powell and Collins Powell; nephew, Brandon Temple and (Courtney), and great-nephew, Wesson Temple.
