Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019, in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel for Kerry G. Ratliff, 63, of Foxworth, who died on Monday, March 11 while receiving treatment for cancer in New Orleans. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 at Colonial Funeral Home.
Though he was born in New Orleans, he had been a lifelong resident of Marion County and was of the Church of God faith. He retired from Noble Drilling, Inc. as a barge engineer. He was a loving husband, daddy, pappy and uncle who was devoted to his family. He was a great mechanic who could fix anything and will be remembered as a wonderful story teller who was fun loving, the life of the party and always could make people laugh. He was affectionately known as Uncle Boo and Snelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Bessie Ratliff, and a brother, Mike Ratliff.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Donna Ratliff; daughter, Haley Ratliff Miller (Jason); son, Chris Williamson (Heather); two sisters, Glenda Pierce and Jan Clark (David); three grandchildren, Jasey Miller, Lane Miller and Jaxson Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
