A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Woodlawn Cemetery for Hoyt Clifton Reyer, 92, who died on Monday, June 29 at his residence. Rev. Shane White officiated at the service.
A native of Poplarville, former resident of Columbia, he owned and operated Reyer’s Upholstery and retired after 50 years of ownership. He was a member of Murray Hill Church of God, Poplarville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Reyer and Beulah Soley Reyer; sisters, Elizabeth Anderson, Mary Smith and Shirley Fay Reyer, and brothers, James C. “J.C.” Reyer, Christopher Columbus Reyer and Jessie B. Reyer.
Survivors include his wife, Doree Yager Reyer of Sumrall; daughter, Yulka Reyer Palmer (Randy) of Vancleave; brother, Charles “Charlie” Reyer of Poplarville; two grandchildren, Kayla Reyer Strauss and Kelsey Gregory (Chase), both of Vancleave, and a great-granddaughter, Emma Layne Gregory.
