A private family graveside service was held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2020, in Magee's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery for Reba Lambert Thompson, 91, of Columbia, who died on Monday, July 6. Bro. Kenny Peavey officiated at the services.
As a longtime resident of Marion County, she loved life and enjoyed fellowship and visiting with her friends. She had a deep love and pride for her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her church family at Edna Baptist Church was also an integral part of her life, where she was a longtime, faithful member.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvis and Bertha Lambert; husband, Clyde E. Thompson, and one brother, Elgin Lambert.
Survivors include her two sons, Jerry Davis (Cheryl) of Leesburg, Fla., and Mark Davis (Kathy) of Columbia; daughter, Kristi Clift (Mark) of Star; two brothers, Douglas Lambert and Bobby Joe Lambert; two sisters, Elnora Givens and Kathleen Ashley; three grandchildren, Brittany Hollis, Tyler Clift (Jessica) and Kandace Davis, and four great-grandchildren, Addison Hollis, Wyatt Hollis, Ella Davis and Shepherd Clift.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital, Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.
