Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel for Robert E. Pyke Sr., 61, of Foxworth, who died on Saturday, Sept. 26. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Colonial Funeral Home. A memorial mass was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He was born in Roslindale, Mass., and has been a resident of Foxworth for the past 32 years. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed time outdoors playing golf and fishing. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia. He was devoted to his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and son.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Lillian Carter; paternal grandparents, Byers and Annie Pyke; his father, Robert B. Pyke, and stepfather, Robert F. Goloskie.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Pyke; mother, Pattie Goloskie; son, Robert Pyke Jr; daughter, Katrina Pyke Bauer; two stepsons, Jason Breland (Beth) and Scott Breland (Tami); 10 grandchildren, Dylan Pounds, Breanna Buchner (Ty), Brittney Breland, Taylor Breland, Trevor Pyke, Sara Pyke, Tatum Pyke, Tarver Pyke, Christian Bauer and Rickey Bauer; five great-grandchildren, Jaxson Buchner, Brookelynn Buchner, Brayden Buchner, Lainey Anthony and Karter Anthony, and numerous nieces and nephews.
