Funeral services were held at noon on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Tommy Glen McNabb, 65, of Darbun, who died on Saturday, Sept. 19 at his residence. Burial followed in Morgantown Cemetery. Bro. Raymond Aven and Pastor Jerron Carney officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday, Sept. 21 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
As a long-time resident of Marion County, he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed taking part in his grandkids’ school events. He could be found outdoors hunting and fishing and tinkering on whatever was available. He spent 42 years in the oil industry, where he mentored many young boys into men alongside spreading God’s word. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue McNabb; parents, Larry and Mary McNabb; son, T.J. McNabb, and one sister, Sharon Stringer.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Miller (Jon); four grandchildren, Gabe Miller, McKenna Miller, Landon McNabb and Jonathon Miller; one sister, Cathy Sanders (Raymond), and two brothers, Kevan McNabb and Jerry McNabb (Brooksie).
Pallbearers were Gabe Miller, Jonathon Miller, Landon McNabb, Dustin Morgan, Asa Baggett, Loegan Oxnar, Greg Phillips, Joey Rainer, Daniel Herrera and Zach Beasley. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Bittinger, Blake Lowery, Kamarius “Mookie” Husband, Nathan Guy and Jeremiah Holmes.
