Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at Oak Grove Apostolic Church in Foxworth for Annie Christeen Morgan, 83, of Foxworth, who passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25 at her residence. Burial followed in Oak Grove Apostolic Church Cemetery. Bro. Felix Arnold officiated at the services. Visitation was held at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27 at Oak Grove Apostolic Church.
As a pillar of the White Bluff community, she had a love for all people. She stated that "the best time of her life was raising her children." Her giving spirit made her affectionately known as "Aunt Chris" to the community as she took in many under her roof for love and care. She was an encourager who believed in the power of prayer. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Apostolic Church. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Junior Morgan; her parents, Charlie and Lou Ella McLeod; four sons, Donald Rex Morgan, Shirley Leon Morgan, Christopher John Morgan and Jimmy Doyle Morgan; seven sisters, Allie Mae Smith, Sybil Lee Hall, Rita Mae Blunk, Nancy Louden Sauls, Shirley Elaine Morgan, Linda Gail Kieff and Kathy Lowery, and two brothers, Charles McLeod and Jimmy McLeod.
Survivors include her two sons, Allen Lee Morgan (Twila) of Foxworth and James "Sonny" Harvey Morgan (Cynthia) of Vicksburg; three daughters, Sandra Darlene Buchanan (Kenneth) of Foxworth, Rachel Arlene Tipton (Bobby) of Stuttgart, Ark., and Rebecca Nanette Morgan; 19 grandchildren, Jason Tyler Morgan, Jeffery Todd Morgan, Joshua Trey Morgan, Shauna Morgan, Chase Morgan, Kendra Darlene Turnage, Jacob Randall Buchanan, Megan DeeAnne Morgan, Morgan Wesley Buchanan, Roger Tipton, Autry Stafford, Christina Stafford, Ethan Stafford, Nathan Stafford, Marissa Morgan, James Allen Morgan, Jessica Beasley, Johnathan Morgan and LeeAnn Beasley; 30 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Theresa Morgan; a number of nieces and nephews and a loving church family.
