Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at Morgantown Church of God for Bernice Smith, 92, of Morgantown, who died on Wednesday, Dec. 25 in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Morgantown Cemetery. Rev. Cory Odom, Rev. Derry Dunaway and Dr. Louis Morgan officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the services of Friday, Dec. 27 at Morgantown Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Smith; parents, Murry and Flora Dunaway; brother-in-law, Wayne Morgan, and nephew, Dave Morgan.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Loyce Morgan of Morgantown, and a host of extended family members and friends.
