He was a native of Columbia for 37 years. He was diagnosed with MENs syndrome, a hormone disease, in 2017. Tumors in his pancreas and liver led to a multi visceral transplant on Nov. 13 in Miami, Fla. His surgery was a complete success; however, six weeks later, he had a seizure and suffered a massive stroke.
He was a 2001 graduate of Columbia Academy. He had a dedicated work ethic throughout his short life’s journey. He will be forever missed by a plethora of friends, and especially his work “family” that he loved at Beacon Supply as well as the many Beacon Supply customers throughout the 17 years that have all become family as well. He treasured each of you.
He was affectionately known as “Cub” to many. He loved to hunt, fish and ride his Harley. He enjoyed evening rides on his golf cart. He also passionately followed Southern Miss, LSU and the New Orleans Saints teams. Just one special talent of mention was that he could play the drums by sound and was a perfectionist in everything. Everything always had to be precise.
He will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He is now grieved by his family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved paternal paw paw, Lewis O. Prine, and maternal paw paw, Wayne W. Smith.
Survivors include his daughter, Micah Michelle Prine; the true love of his life, Dana Barber Green; his father, Greg Prine (Kim); mother Darlous Dement (Chris); sister, Amanda Skidmore (Alex); nephew, Hunter; niece, Kayleigh; his paternal grandmother, Joyce Prine; maternal grandmother, Refa Smith Brewton and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
