Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Colonial Funeral Home for Kayonna Forbes Smith, 63, of Foxworth, who died on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at her residence. Burial followed in Richland Creek Cemetery. Rev. Randall Buchanan and Rev. Nicholas Neese officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 at Colonial Funeral Home.
As a native of Marion County, she was primarily a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Allen Smith; mother, Mrs. Cecil Pittman Forbes; sister, Judy Forbes, and brothers, James Forbes, Larry Forbes and Calvin Forbes.
Survivors include her sons, Dr. Daniel Smith (Leslie) and Stephen Smith (Heather), both of Foxworth; father, Jimmie Forbes of Foxworth, and four grandchildren, Samuel Smith, Kaylee Smith, Haylie Smith and Eli Smith.
