A family burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Woodlawn Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday, Jan. 31 at Woodlawn Church.
He was born at home in Jayess on Nov. 28, 1971. He lived most of his life in Jayess, until he moved to Columbia in 2010. He grew up faithfully attending New Bethel Church and in his last years he was a dedicated member of Woodlawn Church. Worship was his heartbeat and there was no one who loved to love on people like Britt.
His wife, Julee, to whom he was married for 29 years, was his treasure. His family was more than a priority; they were his reason for being.
He was “the man” when it came to concrete. This was a trade he grew up learning with his father, Kenneth Ham, who he was preceded in death by. He was currently serving as the division manager with Birdsong Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Julee Ham; daughters, Marla Bracey (Steven) and Madelyn Ham, both of Columbia; son, Adam Ham (Lindsey) of Columbia; mother, Marlene Ham of Columbia; one sister, Bridgette Mann (Shay) of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Darrin Ham (Robin) of Jayess. The twinkle in his eye was because of his three granddaughters, Kenna Layne, Adley Rae and Sophie Jane. He has a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins that filled his life with much joy.
Family and friends may sign an online guestbook at www.hathornfuneralhome.com. Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
