Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at Colonial Funeral Home for Lorena McDaniel, 91, of Columbia, who died on Wednesday, Jan. 1 in Columbia. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday, Jan. 4 at Colonial Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman McDaniel Sr.; infant daughters, Julie and Hilda; sons, Ronnie McDaniel, Milton McDaniel and Herman McDaniel Jr.; parents, Troy and Julia Welborn; a brother, Johnny Welborn, and grandson, Michael McDaniel.
Survivors include her son, Donnie McDaniel (Deborah) of Columbia; 11 grandchildren, April McDaniel, Faith McDaniel, Heidi Whitaker, David McDaniel, Hollie Alexander, Mary Giroux, Amy McCain, Jessica McDaniel, Thomas R. McDaniel, Robbie McDaniel and Allison McDaniel; 21 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
