Montez “Granny” Miller Locke

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at West Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church for Montez “Granny” Miller Locke, 85, of Lumberton, who died on Sunday, Dec. 1 in Hattiesburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Miller; parents, Griff and Lula Gipson; daughter, Mary Nell Miller Purvis, and son-in-law, Dale Purvis.
Survivors include her children, Patsy Williams (David) of Improve, Wiley Miller (Cyndy) of Kokomo, Michael Miller (Beverly) of Hattiesburg and Joy Matheny (Chris) of Columbia; sister-in-law, Christine Gipson; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Jones and Son Funeral Home in Hattiesburg was in charge of arrangements.
