Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, at Colonial Funeral Home for Robert Morgan, 62, of Foxworth, who died on Saturday, Nov. 23 surrounded by family. Burial followed in Victory Cemetery in Foxworth. Rev. Max Campbell officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Colonial Funeral Home.
A lifelong resident of Foxworth, he was an active firefighter with Southwest Marion Volunteer Fire Department and attended Victory First Methodist Congregational Church.
He was preceded in death by father, Howard Morgan; mother, Bessie Ophelia Hibley Morgan; sisters, Alice Mae Morgan, Pearly Mae Morgan, Ellen Mae Prine and Hester Mae Stogner; brothers, Johnny B. Morgan, Albert Morgan, Mac Cooper and Earl Morgan, and granddaughters, Amy Nicole Grippo, Courtney Nicole Grippo and Adley Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Morgan of Foxworth; two sons, Myles Morgan of Thayer, Mo., and Scott Morgan of Mayfield, Ky.; two stepdaughters, Christie Redd (Buddy) of Tylertown and Leola Stogner of Foxworth; two sisters, Judy Knight (Lathel) of Braxton and Janie Borders of Foxworth, and a host of grandchildren and extended family members.
