Thomas “Tommy” Martin

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel for Thomas “Tommy” Martin, 75, of Foxworth, who died on Monday, Feb. 24 in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Stogner officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 at Colonial Funeral Home.
A native of Marion County, he was a veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard, a truck driver with various companies including Walmart, where he retired, and a member of North Columbia Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carvin Martin and Berteel Herrington Martin.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Donna Martin of Foxworth; sister, Cheryl Newcomer of Foxworth; father-in-law, Allen Jones of Laurel; mother-in-law, Doris Jones of Laurel; brother-in-law, Dwight Jones of Laurel; nieces, Renee Mathias of D’Iberville and Amber Barnett (Heath) of Laurel; nephews, Joe Newcomer (Victoria) of Columbia and Lt. Col. Adam Jones (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, N.C., and a host of other extended family members and friends.
