Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at Mount Carmel Church of God in Foxworth for Verdie Regan, 89, of Sandy Hook, who died on Thursday, Nov. 21 at her residence. Burial followed in Mount Carmel Church of God Cemetery. Rev. Sammy Foxworth officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the services on Friday, Nov. 22 at Mount Carmel Church of God in Foxworth.
She was a lifelong resident of Marion County and was a charter member of Mount Carmel Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvie and Dollie Miller; two sons, Joel Turnage and Shelton Turnage; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Pyke (Robert); sister, Virginia Regan; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dale Reagan, Ty Buchner, Scott Breland, Jesse Reagan, Cade Turnage and Jason Breland.
