Ronald Grayson Ellzey
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Ronald Grayson Ellzey, 78, of Kokomo, who died on Tuesday, Aug. 27 in Jackson. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Dr. Mike Lips officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday, Aug. 30 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was a teacher, coach and farmer. He owned and operated Foil & Ellzey Grocery for almost 30 years. He attended Kokomo United Methodist Church faithfully.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grayson and Berline Ellzey.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Ellzey of Kokomo; daughter, Andrea Bridgman (Roger) of Tylertown; two grandchildren, Janna Bridgman and Jaylyn Bridgman, both of Tylertown; and one brother, Greg Ellzey (Lee) of Tylertown.
Pallbearers were Lance Ellzey, Kade Lear, Timothy Fortenberry, Mike McKenzie, Harold Daniels, Kenny Wayne Stringer and James Allen Reagan. Honorary pallbearers were the Adult Sunday School Class at Kokomo United Methodist Church and the Darbun Rook Club.
