Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, La., for Alberta 'Bert' Pittman Brown, 89, of Baton Rouge, La., who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Burial followed in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Bro. Don Richard officiated at the services. Visitation was held from noon until the time of the services on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Greenoaks Funeral Home.
She was a native of Kokomo. She was a member of Family Worship Center. She and her husband were owners of Brown's Auto Service. She loved entertaining friends and family, boating, camping, fishing, drag racing, NASCAR, getting her hair and nails done weekly and LSU Sports.
She was a member of the Crusin' Cajuns, Family Motor Coach Association and Texas Outlaws.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Sedgie Forest Pittman and mother, Johnnie Mae Pittman; husband of 39 years, John F. Brown Jr.; sisters, Wilkie Moore and Syble Ramsey; and brother, Dudley Pittman.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Brown; son, Scott Brown (Donna); brothers, John Alton Pittman, Sedgie Ray Pittman (Glenda) and Travis Pittman (Janie); granddaughters, Jennifer Jenkins (Mike), Brandi Blackwell (Bradley) and Brooklyn Hall (Travis); great-grandchildren, Hudson Jenkins, Laylah Jenkins, Ellie Michael Jenkins, Braelynn Blackwell, Kiah Hall and Logan Hall.
Pallbearers were Mike Jenkins, Hudson Jenkins, Ken Ramsey, Ray Ramsey, A'Qunicy Bradley and Ron Caillais.
