Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Clayton Kendal Reid, 30, of Columbia, who passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, in Columbia. Burial followed in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook. Bro. Steve Albritton officiated at the services. Visitation was held from noon until the time of the services on Sunday, Nov. 5, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was a 2012 graduate of West Marion High School. His hobbies included attending concerts, playing video games and loved to fish. He was loved by all and was a gentle giant who loved his family. He was always quick to lend a helping hand where he helped anyone in need. An employee of Wards, he was loved by his customers and fellow employees.
Survivors include his father, Kendal Reid; mother, Vivian Reid; brother, Cody Reid (Courtney); sister, Emily Reid; nephew, Colby Hall; two nieces, Anna Hall and Rory Reid; and a host of cousins.
Pallbearers were David Anderson, James Lloyd Wolfe, Will Anderson, Corey Ables, Christopher Bass, Ronson Prine, Russ Anderson and Daryl Warren.
