Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Enon Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia for Clyde L. Robbins, 87, of Columbia, who passed away on Friday, April 4, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Enon Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia. Bro. Ed Penton, Bro. Bill Morris and Bro. Travis Taylor officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, at Hathorn Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday, April 8, at Enon Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Clyde, a man of enduring dedication and gentle passions, left a legacy of hard work and natural beauty. His green thumb was legendary, particularly his meticulous care of his daylily bed, a vibrant testament to his love for gardening. For an impressive 60 years, he served the automotive industry, culminating in the establishment of his own successful business, Clyde's Auto Parts in Poplaville. A lifelong member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist faith, he recently found a spiritual home at Enon Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. When not engaged in work or worship, he sought solace in the tranquility of nature, pursuing his passions for hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline White Robbins; daughter, Pamela Herrin; father, Oscar Robbins; mother, Sarah Crawley Robbins; two brothers, Willis Alfred Robbins and Sherman Robbins; two sisters, Rachel Selig and Carolyn Moree; and granddaughter, Sabrina Herrin Graves.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice “Mae” Clinton Robbins of 61 years; two sons, Greg Robbins (Janell) and Michael Robbins (Tammy); daughter, Theresa Mikell (Dent); nine grandchildren, Shawn Herrin, Cole Robbins (Chelsea), Sherri Lankford (Robbie), Damie Langston (Brandon), Baily Robbins (Hayley), Cody Mikell, Clay Mikell, Sabrina Garner (Keith) and Lindsey Rivero (Alex); sister, Alavene Sanders (Gerald); son-in-law, Ricky Herrin; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
He was carried to his final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers, Bailey Robbins, Cole Robbins, Clay Mikell, Cody Mikell, Brandon Livingston and Riley Garner.
