Gail Parham Houston, 86, of Columbia, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. She lived a beautiful and full life, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was a faithful member of First Methodist Church and a long-time prayer group member for more than 40 years. She loved to read and write poetry, travel and spend quality time with her family. She was always thinking of others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Reed Houston Sr.; father, Beverly Blount Parham; mother, Carrie Brown Parham; sister, Carolyn Josephson; and great-grandson, Blakely Drew Houston.
Survivors include her three children, Kathryn Houston, William “Reed” Houston Jr. (Joy) and Beverly Masino (Mike); sister, Beverly Taylor; three grandchildren, William “Will” Reed Houston III (Amy), Alexander “Sasha” Masino and Yana McCullough (Devin); three great-grandchildren, Josie Houston, William “Chip” Reed Houston IV and Drake McCullough.
