Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Columbia Presbyterian Church for George “Larry” Lawrence Hancock, 83, of Columbia, who passed away on Thursday, April 11, at his residence. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at Columbia Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Hancock; mother, Vera Drane Hancock; and brother, Danny Hancock.
Survivors include his son, Lance Hancock (Jessica); daughter, Katie Walley of Columbia; four grandchildren, Jacob Hancock, Jackson Hancock, Briggs Walley and Mac Walley; brother, Michael Hancock; and sister, Lola Sanders.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Homes of Hope for Children in Purvis at 344 Harold Tucker Road, Purvis, MS 39475.
