Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Harthorn Funeral Home for Herman Carl Kleinke III, 77, of Columbia, who passed away on Monday, June 12, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Dr. Bryant Barnes and Rev. Dave Nichols officiated at the services. Mike Dickinson provided special music. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Thursday, June 15, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Kleinke; father, Herman Carl Kleinke Jr.; and mother, Beulah Sybil Merrit Kleinke.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Kleinke of Columbia; son, Chris Kleinke of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughter, Evelyn "Eve" Kleinke-Prine (Chris) of Columbia; brother, Kenneth "Ken" Kleinke of Marshall, Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and aunt, Mary Dickinson of Gautier.
Pallbearers were Roger Dickinson, Will Dickinson, Ken Dickinson, Nick Dickinson, Joe Beets, Bill Dalton, Frank Tolar and Ronnie Shivers. Honorary pallbearer was Chris Prine.
