Jonah Isaac Stevens
15, Foxworth
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church in Foxworth for Jonah Isaac Stevens, 15, of Foxworth, who passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Foxworth. Burial followed in a family Cemetery. Dr. Jerry Watts and Bro. Kevin Corzier officiated at the services. The Stevens family received friends from noon until the time of the services on Friday, Oct. 10, at New Hope Baptist Church.

This young man lived life at full speed, embracing every moment with a passion that refused to do anything halfway. He held deep affection for his family, especially his Uncle Latrell Slocum, whom he playfully nicknamed as his "Amish daddy," and was utterly obsessed with his Papa David Moon. Possessing a huge heart, he was remarkably inclusive and drawn to those less healthy than himself, always ensuring he performed an act of kindness for everyone, young or elderly. While he loved the hands-on precision of taking things apart, his enjoyment of hunting, fishing, competitive archery and riding horses stood in contrast to his dislike for manual labor — he loved the bounty of his gardening, but never the weeding. For all his intense activity, resting was his favorite pastime, yet his defining quality remained his velocity, he was incredibly fast and would slow down for nothing.
Survivors include his father, Bobby Stevens of Foxworth; mother, Lori Moon Stevens; two brothers, Robbie Stevens and Gavin Stevens; grandfather, David Moon; two grandmothers, Christy Stevens and Debbie Moon; three aunts, Jennifer Stevens, Courtney Robinson (Nich) and Misty Williams (Steve); three uncles, Christopher Stevens (Jennifer), Jesse Moon and Charlie Moon (Stacy).
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you please perform an act of random kindness for a teenager.
