45, McComb
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home for Joseph Trent Ramshur, 45, of McComb, who passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, in Franklin County. Burial followed in Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday, Aug. 30, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1979, to Kary Joe Ramshur and Patricia Forbes Ramshur of Marion County. He was a valued employee of AT&T for nearly 25 years and the owner of "Party Jumpers" since 2001.
He lived for his time with all of his children. He loved traveling and taking them on new adventures, which brought him an abundance of joy. The years spent at the Diamond coaching his children and mentoring others were the highlights of his life. In later years, he loved watching his children play sports. Their games, recitals and performances were some of his proudest moments. He moved the world to make sure he never missed anything his children were involved in or a part of. As the kids got older, he enjoyed hanging on the back deck with them and shooting 30 over par with his sons. Trent and Virginia had a marriage based on complete respect and adoration for one another. They were truly best friends and never left each other's sides, not even to go to the grocery store. They enjoyed traveling – mostly on cruises, doing house projects and sitting on any beach together. Those who knew him well knew his best friends are four-legged, most importantly, Penny, Paisley and Zea. He was known by many names that included Padre, Dad, Pops, T Ram, Slim and even sometimes, Slim Jim.
He was preceded by his grandparents, Joe Knight Ramshur and Lessie Mae Ramshur of Marion County and Edward Doyle Forbes of Marion County.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Allen Ramshur; children, Tyler Cole Ramshur, Trace Connor Ramshur, Andrew Allen Kelley and Allye Kathryn Kelley; parents, Kary Joe Ramshur and Patricia Forbes Ramshur; brother, Chad Edward Ramshur (Emily); grandmother, Charlene Agnes Forbes; niece, Breanne Lewis (Stephen); nephew, Bryce Ramshur; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
