Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Kenneth Ray Turnage, 77, of Foxworth, who passed away on Monday, May 13, at his residence. Bro. Chris Turnage officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday, May 17, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was in the Air Force for 20 years where he enjoyed serving his country. He loved to read books in his spare time and enjoyed tending his livestock. Driving his tractor was a pastime favorite where he loved to garden and tinker around the farm. He will be missed by his family, who he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Turnage; father, Cooper Ray Turnage; mother, Arlora McMichael Turnage; and sister, Francis Hudson.
Survivors include his spouse, Geraldine “Geri” Harris Turnage of Foxworth; son, Russell Turnage (Lisa); daughter, Denise Turnage Ballew; 10 grandchildren, Meghann Kendrick, Christopher Kyle Turnage, Corey Hill (Haley), Alyssa Ballew (Trent), Tristen Ballew, Breann Ford, Taylor Turnage, Tyler Turnage, Kaylee McKnight (Shane) and Kendall Lee; three brothers, Harvey Turnage (Sharon), Walter Turnage (Mary) and Alton Turnage (Delores); sister, Sylvia Rankin (Jerry); 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nephews and nieces; daughter-in-law, Melissa Turnage Garrett; and brother-in-law, Roger Hudson.
