Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Kristi Renea Nichols, 51, of Columbia, who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, in Hattiesburg. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Peavy officiated at the services. Janeice Baughman provided special music. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the services on Sunday, Jan. 19, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her father, David E. Nichols; grandparents, Nathan and Tina Singley and William E. and Adelle Nichols; one special aunt, Peggy Mixon; and a special cousin, Greg Mixon.
Survivors include her mother, Janice Kay Singley Nichols of Columbia; sister, Jennifer Nichols Garner (Jerry) of Sumrall; two nieces, Jessica Wallace (Scott) of Sumrall and Julia Garner (Raymond Pritchett) of Belle Vista, Ark.; and aunts and uncles, Bill Mixon of Columbia, Bill and Joyce Revette of Lucedale and Mickey and Margaret Nichols of Hattiesburg.
Pallbearers were Bill Mixon, Scott Wallace, Raymond Pritchett, Nate Mixon and Jerry Garner.
