Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Hathorn Funeral Home for Larry Donald Page Sr., 74, of Foxworth, who passed away on Saturday, July 13. Burial followed in the Page Family Cemetery in Foxworth. Rev. Marcus Kelly officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the services on Thursday, July 18, at Hathorn Funeral Home.
He was a longtime resident of Marion County. He served his nation faithfully as a member of the United States Army. While working for a number of years as an oil field welder, he resided in Grand Isles, La. He settled in Foxworth, where he enjoyed cattle farming and riding around to visit with his friends. He never met a stranger, had a heart of gold but was always on the move. When at home, there were many times he could be found rolling his own cigarettes and playing his slot machine games. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Mable Bates Page; three brothers, Tommy Page, Jimmy Page and Kendal Ray Melvin; and one sister, Carolyn Sue Page Geiger.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy Foster Page of Foxworth; two sons, Larry "Donnie" Page Jr. (Stephanie) of Larose, La., and Shane Page (Chrisel) of Cut Off, La.; one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Stringer (Andy) of Foxworth; three brothers, Cecil Page (Sue), David Melvin and Alton Page (Lena); five sisters, Elizabeth Pierson (Donald), Debra Olier (Richard), Sandra Spooner, Arlene Evitts (Jim) and Darlene Evitts (Dale); 13 grandchildren, Meaghan Page (Nicole), Chelsey Page (Trevor), Kaycie Page (Colby), McKenzie Page, Sidni Page, Shasta Buckley (Brandon), Ryan Misener (Tiffany), Kayla Adams (Aaron), Kelly Howse (Rob), Austin Runyan (Casey), Emily Case (Brett), Ashley Hurst (David) and Tyler Stringer; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry "Donnie" Page Jr., Shane Page, Andy Stringer, Cecil Page, Allen Ray Edwards, Colby LaCoste and Trevor Bouvier.
