A celebration of life was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home for Leon B. Norman, 82, of Foxworth, who was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday, Feb. 10, at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home.
He was born on Oct. 23, 1942, in Bogalusa. He was a retired power plant operator with the Bogalusa Papermill, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Leon and Dollie Holden Norman; two sons, Louis Mayfield and Troy Mayfield; and three brothers, Francis "Boots" Norman, Joe Norman and Jessie Norman.
Left to cherish his wonderful memories is his devoted and loving wife of 44 years, Patricia Blount Norman; two children, Sharon Mayfied and Sean Jones (Debbie); four siblings, Wilda Thompson (Harold), Glenda Ikerd (Larry), Bill Norman (the late Linda) and Anna Moravitz (Roger); and a host of adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Poole Ritchie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
